Our vision is for a community where no one is left without a home, support, information, advice and guidance and people are enabled to make the choices that are right for them.
Our mission is to engage with the most vulnerable, isolated and lonely in our community and support them to take advantage of the opportunities and inclusive pathway’s that will lead them to a place of greater security, improved wellbeing and hope.
Spires will provide a wide range of centre based services to those who are sleeping rough, the disadvantaged who are in need of warmth and food and specialist services for women.
The day centre is open to all people who are disadvantaged by life's circumstances, vulnerable and in need of help and support. Socially isolated people will find friendship and a welcoming and inclusive environment.
We are committed to promoting the dignity of individuals by working to restore their self-esteem and relieve their loneliness. We strive to discover the unique qualities of everyone accessing our services in order to meet their individual needs.
We value the diversity brought to Spires by our clients, staff and volunteers, understanding how this contributes significantly to the effectiveness of the services we offer.
Through Spires Streetlink we offer centre based services to women as well as an outreach service supporting sex workers and vulnerable women caught up in lives of severe poverty or domestic violence. We will build trust and ensure that each woman is treated as an individual and can be supported and empowered to make informed choices and take control of their lives.
We recognise that for many clients a lack of education can be a contributing factor to their chaos. We will provide easily accessible courses which offer the opportunity to learn in a positive and supportive environment and to acquire skills that will enable them to progress further with either more training or employment opportunities.
1. We welcome and accept clients as they are and freely offer support, warmth and encouragement.
2. It is not our role to judge how people arrived at our doors only to accept they need our help, warmth and support irrespective of their origin, background, religion or faith.
3. We do not give up on anyone. We are ambitious for all.
4. We strive to discover the unique qualities of everyone accessing our services in order to meet their individual needs.
